How We Wash Cars at Carbon and Chrome

Two-Bucket Wash Method
One bucket for the clean shampoo solution, one bucket for rinsing the wash mitt. This prevents dirt from being dragged back across the paint, which is the main cause of swirl marks from regular washing.

Paint-Safe Drying
We dry your car using clean, properly maintained microfibre drying towels. Blow drying is used on panel gaps, badges, and areas where water collects. Water left to air-dry leaves water spots, especially in Pune's hard water conditions.

We use pH-neutral shampoos and cleaning solutions on every wash. Harsh chemicals strip your car's existing wax or coating protection. pH-neutral products clean without breaking down what is already protecting your paint.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a General Wash include?
A General Wash covers a full exterior clean using pH-neutral shampoo, wheel and wheel arch cleaning, exterior glass cleaning, tyre dressing, and a microfibre dry. It does not include interior cleaning, which is part of our Super and Premium packages.
How often should I get my car washed?
For Pune conditions, once every 2 weeks is a reasonable frequency for most car owners. During the monsoon season, more frequent washing helps remove road grime, mud, and contaminants that accelerate paint damage. After the monsoon, a Premium Wash is worth doing to remove the buildup from 4 months of wet conditions.
Will washing remove swirl marks on my paint?
No. Swirl marks are micro-scratches in the paint surface and cannot be removed by washing. They require machine polishing as part of a detailing job. However, washing incorrectly using rough sponges or dirty rags will add more swirl marks. Our wash process is designed specifically to avoid creating new ones.
Can you remove stains from car seats and carpets?
Seat and carpet stain removal is part of our interior detailing service, not the standard wash packages. If you have specific stains you want removed, mention it when booking and we will assess whether it can be handled during the wash or needs a dedicated interior detail session.
Do you offer eco-friendly car washing?
We use minimal water through our wash process compared to a standard hosepipe wash. pH-neutral shampoos are biodegradable. We do not offer a waterless wash service currently.
How long does a car wash take?
A General Wash takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes. A Super Wash takes 1.5 to 2 hours. A Premium Wash takes 2.5 to 3 hours. Times may vary depending on the car's size and how soiled it is when it comes in.
Do you wash luxury cars?
Yes. We regularly wash BMWs, Mercedes-Benz, Audis, and other luxury vehicles. The same paint-safe process applies to every car regardless of brand or value.
Is car washing safe if my car has ceramic coating?
Yes. Our pH-neutral shampoos are safe for ceramic-coated cars and will not strip or degrade the coating. Avoid automatic car washes with rotating brushes if your car has a ceramic coating, as these can cause micro-scratches in the coating surface.
