Paint Protection Film in Pune
Your car's paint faces stone chips on the expressway, scratches in parking lots, and road debris every single day. Paint Protection Film is the only product that physically absorbs that damage before it reaches your paint. We install Garware, XPEL, Hexis, and Saint-Gobain PPF films at our Viman Nagar studio with partial and full body coverage options for all car types.
About Our Paint Protection Film Service in Pune
Most car owners in Pune find out they needed PPF after the damage has already happened. A stone chip on the bonnet from the Pune-Mumbai expressway. A deep scratch on the door from a parking lot. A scuffed front bumper from road debris on Nagar Road. Once the paint is chipped or scratched down to the base coat, fixing it properly is expensive and the repair never looks exactly like the original.
PPF stops this before it happens. It is a clear, self-healing film that sits on top of your paint and takes the impact instead of your car. The film absorbs the chip, the scratch, the debris hit. In many cases it heals itself when the surface warms up in the sun. Your paint underneath stays untouched.
We install PPF on all car types at Carbon and Chrome in Viman Nagar. From a basic bonnet-only installation to protect against highway chips, to a full body wrap for customers who want complete coverage on a new or recently detailed car.
Features of Our PPF Installation Service
01
Multiple Film Brands Available
We install Garware, XPEL, Hexis, and Saint-Gobain PPF films. Each brand differs in film thickness, clarity, self-healing speed, and warranty terms. We explain the differences honestly and recommend the right film based on your car, your budget, and how you use the vehicle. You choose with full information, not a sales pitch.
02
Self-Healing Film Technology
The PPF films we install are self-healing. Light scratches and swirl marks on the film surface disappear when exposed to heat, either from the sun or warm water. This keeps the film looking clear and new without needing replacement. The self-healing property works repeatedly over the film's warranty period.
03
Crystal Clear Finish
Good PPF is invisible once installed. You should not be able to tell it is there just by looking at the car. Our installation process ensures the film sits flat with no bubbles, no lifting edges, and no orange peel texture. The car looks exactly as it did before installation, just protected.
04
No Damage to Original Paint
PPF installation and removal, when done correctly, does not affect your original paint. The adhesive used in quality PPF films is designed to release cleanly. When you eventually remove the film after its warranty period, the paint underneath should look exactly as it did when the film went on.
05
Protects Against What Ceramic Coating Cannot
Ceramic coating does a lot of things well. Stopping a stone chip is not one of them. PPF is the only product that physically absorbs impact and prevents chips and deep scratches from reaching your paint. For cars driven on highways or parked in open areas, PPF covers the gap that ceramic coating leaves.
06
Coverage Options to Suit Every Budget
You do not need to do the full car to get meaningful protection. A bonnet-only installation covers the panel that takes the most highway chip damage. A front 1/3 installation adds the front bumper, headlights, and mirrors. Full body coverage protects everything. We help you decide what makes sense for your car and how you drive it.

What Is Paint Protection Film?
Paint Protection Film is a clear polyurethane film applied to the exterior of a car to protect the paint from physical damage. It is the same technology originally developed to protect military helicopter blades and high-speed vehicle surfaces from debris damage. It came into the automotive world because the same problem exists on the road.
The film is typically 6 to 8 mil thick, which is thin enough to be invisible on the car but thick enough to absorb stone chip impacts and prevent them from reaching the paint. Modern PPF films have a self-healing topcoat that removes light scratches from the film surface with heat exposure.
PPF is different from ceramic coating. Ceramic coating is a chemical bond to the paint that improves hardness, hydrophobic properties, and UV resistance. PPF is a physical barrier that takes impact damage. They solve different problems and work very well together when combined.
PPF can be applied to the full car or to specific high-risk panels. The bonnet, front bumper, front fenders, door edges, door cups, headlights, and mirrors are the most commonly protected areas. Full body PPF covers every painted surface.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cost of paint protection film in Pune?
PPF pricing depends on three things: which film brand you choose, how much of the car you want covered, and the size of your car. A bonnet-only installation costs significantly less than a full body wrap. A Hatchback costs less than an SUV. We give you a specific quote after inspecting your car. WhatsApp us your car model and we can give you a ballpark before you come in.
How long does paint protection film last?
Depends on the film brand and grade. Most quality PPF films carry a 5 to 10 year warranty. Garware, XPEL, Hexis, and Saint-Gobain all carry manufacturer warranties. Within the warranty period, if the film yellows, bubbles, or peels under normal use conditions, it can be claimed. Actual film life with proper maintenance often exceeds the warranty period.
Can paint protection film be removed?
Yes. Quality PPF is designed to be removable without damaging the paint underneath. The adhesive releases cleanly when the film is removed by a trained installer. DIY removal or removal by an untrained installer risks paint damage. We handle PPF removal at our studio if you need it done correctly.
Is paint protection film self-healing?
Yes. The PPF films we install have a self-healing topcoat. Light scratches and swirl marks on the film surface disappear when the surface heats up, either from sunlight or warm water. This is a property of the film's topcoat, not the base film. It keeps the film looking clear and maintains visibility of the paint underneath.
What areas of the car are typically covered with PPF?
The most commonly protected areas are the bonnet, front bumper, front fenders, headlights, mirrors, and door edges. These are the panels that face the road directly and take the most chip and scratch damage. Full body coverage extends to every painted panel including the roof, doors, and rear.
How long does PPF installation take?
Bonnet-only takes about a day. Front 1/3 coverage takes 1 to 2 days. Full body PPF on a sedan takes 2 to 3 days. A larger SUV or luxury vehicle takes 3 to 4 days. The car needs to stay overnight after installation for the film adhesive to cure before it is washed or exposed to rain.
Should I get PPF or ceramic coating?
They are different products. PPF stops physical damage like stone chips and scratches. Ceramic coating protects against UV, chemicals, and water spots and makes the car easier to maintain. If you park outdoors and drive on highways, PPF on the front end makes a lot of sense. If you want low maintenance and a long-lasting gloss, ceramic coating is the answer. Many customers do both: PPF on high-risk areas and ceramic coating over the full car.
Which PPF brand do you recommend?
It depends on your car and budget. For everyday cars and SUVs, Garware gives you strong protection with good local warranty support. For premium and luxury vehicles or if you want the best performing film available, XPEL is our recommendation. Hexis and Saint-Gobain sit in between and are strong choices for mid-to-premium applications. We will make a specific recommendation after looking at your car.
Will PPF affect how my car looks?
No. A properly installed PPF film is effectively invisible. The paint colour and finish look the same. The only difference is the paint is now protected. Poor installation leaves bubbles, lifting edges, or a cloudy appearance. Our installation process is done by trained technicians and checked before the car is handed back.
Do you install PPF on luxury cars?
Yes. BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Range Rover, Mahindra Thar, Toyota Fortuner. We work on all of them. Luxury vehicles actually benefit the most from PPF because paint correction and respraying on these cars is significantly more expensive than on everyday vehicles. Protecting the original paint from day one makes financial sense.
